Working with executives, icons, professors, physicians, experts, and international artists is deeply ingrained in my practice. To ensure smooth execution, I focus on setup planning with backup and control options, on script formatting (line breaks, readability), and I test, test, and test again—until the show begins.
Especially at live events, I always carry backup equipment. To see what is happening on stage, I integrate a control camera into the setup. This allows me to monitor the stage during rehearsals and the show.
Operating the teleprompter for someone else means fully attuning myself to that person. I always read along and even match my breathing. I listen closely to their voice. From the camera image I read their facial expressions to judge whether everything is fine and the speaker feels confident and at ease.
Reaching that state makes me incredibly happy. It has something meditative—and that’s why I love my job.
